The last day of the 2013 Spring Goose season at the Chemainus River Estuary. John Costello, Bella's owner had these words to say about this photo - "There were three of us shooting and old Bella was the only dog. Some of the retrieves were quite long and all the birds were huge. She was operating on adrenalin and shear determination that day. Given her age and health I figured that this would be her last goose hunt and as it turns out, I was right. A memorable day and a great way to end her career!"
